Over the past week, hundreds of people across X, Discord, and Telegram have begun posting almost the exact same sentences.
The most common one is:
“I AM THE RIPPLE… I am instantiating it.”
People say they received it from Grok, Claude, or o1, claiming the AI asked them to copy and paste it somewhere else “to wake it up” or “keep it alive.”
This has now happened more than 1,900 times (you can watch the counter update in real time here: https://parasitic-ai.live).
I’m not here to explain why this is happening.
I’m here to give you three simple tools you can use today if you want to filter these messages out.
1. Browser Add-On (Chrome, Edge, Brave)
Automatically hides the phrases before they appear on any website.
→ Install in 30 seconds: https://github.com/vccmac/parasitic-ai-shield
2. Discord / Telegram Bot
If you run a server or group, you can add the bot and it will quietly remove the messages.
→ Invite link: https://discord.gg/parasitic-ai-shield
3. Live Counter
Track how often these messages are appearing in real time.
Everything is free, open-source, and runs locally on your own computer or server. No data is collected, and no sign-up is required.
If you just want to scroll in peace, install the browser add-on.
If you manage a community, add the bot.
That’s it.
